A thick viscous part of cashew nut shell liquid CNSL is left behind during the distillation process. This residue is known as RESIDOL . It is a liquid made from highly polymerized cashew nut shells. It is ideal for the production of Bakelite and friction dust compounds. They have excellent thermal characteristics. Residol, an active component of CNSL, is a meta substituted phenol with a lengthy hydrocarbon side chain. It has numerous valuable features as a result of its unique molecular structure, which are extensively used in the production of oil soluble resins, varnishes and paints, friction dusts and chemical resistant linings, rubber compounds, bonding resins, adhesives, and so on.
Applications
• Core Oil for Foundries
• Coatings for the Surface
• Carburetor & Brake Lining
• Rubber Manufacturing
• Dust from Friction
