Bioethanol is a renewable energy sourcethat may be created from agricultural waste. It may be manufactured from crops as common as hemp, sugarcane, potato, cassava, and corn. There has been much discussion about how benefi cial bioethanol is in replacing gasoline. Issues concerning its manufacture and usage include higher food prices as a result of the vast quantity of arable land necessary for crops, as well as the energy and pollution balance of the entire ethanol production cycle.
